Cause and Effect
Cause: Japan bombing Pearl Harbor, killing over 2,000 Americans, and also making the United States loose many men, plane supplies, planes, ships, as well as money. It is also thought that Pearl Harbor was attacked due to Japan's lack of territory in the war.
Effect: The US joining the war, and dropping nuclear bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, killing an estimated amount of 20 million Japanese. The attack resulted in an immediate U.S. declaration of war against Japan. Also, Japanese-Americans were not trusted since they had been assuring government officials that they wanted peace and that there was no possibility of an attack, right up to the moment of attack. And were sent to camps.
